| Cigarette Tax Passes the House |

April 2, 2009 This afternoon the House passed Speaker Harrell’s 50 cent cigarette tax bill by a vote of 97-22! Tomorrow’s issue of The Pulse will have full details. Thanks to all of you who contacted your legislator on this critical issue! The bill will now go to the Senate for approval. We will keep you up to date as it moves through these next steps. |
